About Us:
Mynaturalpaper was started in 2001 after a visit to Kathmandu,
Nepal. Mynaturalpaper is one of several businesses our parent
company has operated since its founding in 1971. An experienced
management team ensures excellent service.
We visit Nepal to see the people, their workshops and to
see the papers made
All our paper is environmentally friendly. Our paper ranges
are primarily made from either Kaagat Paat or the bark of
the Mulberry Tree. The best material is obtained from the
smallest branches, which acts as a natural pruning process.
Our Lokta paper is from a raw material obtained from a local
species of Daphne Cannabin or Daphne Papyracea which is a
small woody plant of the Laural family often referred to as
Baruwa or Kaagate Paat. It grows in the Nepal highlands btween
6000 and 10000 feet asl. Tree's are not cut down to make the
paper, but regenerate to maturity in a few years in a similar
way to sugar cane.
Our handmade and milled papers are specially formulated to be netural 7, which is commonly referred to as acid-free.
